What Questions To Ask A LCD TV Salesman

If you want to buy an LCD TV but don't feel particularly equipped to discern between the different types, you might see how a salesman could identify you as a potential sucker.
Since no one wants to be the sucker, it's fair to say that you'll want to be as best prepared as possible before you make your buying decision. When it comes to LCD TVs, some questions are very important to bring up. Don't make the mistake of being pushed around by someone who swears you need a worthless feature. Bring some real shrewdness to the table.
To start, here are some great questions you can ask.
What is the television that meets my needs without going overboard on the frills?
If there's one thing salesmen love to do, it's push the pricier, frills-attached products that you never came in to buy. If you don't know what you want out of a TV, start by checking out some basic LCD TV frequently asked questions. These will start at the basic level, such as "What is an LCD Television?" Hey, you've got to start somewhere. And once you know what LCD TVs are all about, you'll be better able to articulate what you want out of a TV. What is that, by the way? Picture sharpness? VCR compatibility? What exactly?
What is this LCD TV compatible with?
If you're going to buy a TV for yourself and your family, you've got to make sure that the activities you enjoy with the television can continue to be enjoyed. This means purchasing a TV that meets your requirements, such as compatibility with video game consoles. Make sure the salesman understands what's important to you, not what's important for him to sell to you. If he gets you off track, politely remind him that you know what you're looking for and you simply need his recommendations for those needs.
Do I really need this?
If your salesman has already taken you down the wrong path - telling you about features you never asked about or needed - then you'll want to ask "Do I really need this?" It's just as important a question to ask yourself: do you really want to make this purchase, or are you simply going through with it because you've been talking to the salesman for so long and you don't want to have wasted their time? Understand your own psychology and remember why you're at the store: to buy a TV that's right for you. To spend your money on something else wouldn't be right.
